Coffs Harbour here we come - 25th Jan 2012

The view of the wedding venue from our resort. See, in the clearing on the hill.

Today it was James and I against the rain. We turned our car into a dance floor and drove 6.5hrs hours to Coffs Harbour in torrential rain. The occasion, our dear friend Tracy Hayes' weddding.
We'd planned to make our way up the coast, stop for lunch by the beach and enjoy the scenic drive. Ahh, reality - it rarely pans out like it does in your dreams. The 'scenary' was obscured by sheeting rain with visibility reduced to 10 meters at various points and lunch was reduced to a pie in a bakery off the highway. Oh the glamour!
But there is always an upside. In this case it was James and I having the opportunity to spending the whole day talking, and taking and talking without interruption. You know you've met your match when after 6.5hrs of non stop chat could easily talk for another 6.5 hrs. Appreciation was the theme of today's lesson in perspective. Appreciate the people in your life you love dearly. Don't just appreciate what they do for you, and why you love them, but take the time to just appreciate who they are. Today I had a blast with my best friend. We laughed, we make plans for our life and we laughed so hard creating a killer playlist for Tracy's big night (a high percentage of laughs came from him at my love of 80s cheesy music and my seated dance moves).
Above is the review from the golf course of our resort. Right at the top of the hill in the distance is Villa Vivante where our darling Tracy will marry her man Adam. One more sleep!
